Timothy Williams Jr.

Tim Williams understands something about Nevada families and the everyday challenges they endure more than most who run for office. Tim, a native Nevadan and the oldest of seven children, is a childhood cancer survivor.

The diagnosis was easy. The tumor, located on his face, was large enough that the skilled physician who treated him never anticipated Tim would ever be able to have teeth, talk, or lead a normal life.

Tim miraculously survived. While keeping up with his studies at home, Tim entered the construction when he was only 14, and later, at age 16, took another job as a page for the Las Vegas-Clark Country Library District.

At 19, he joined Carpenters Union 1780 and enrolled in the Junior Apprentice Training Center. Eventually he became a journeyman and worked as a carpenter until injuring his back in 2001. Unhindered, he began his second career as a licensed real estate agent and currently belongs to the Greater Las Vegas Association of REALTORS and the National Association of REALTORS. Tim serves on several leadership committees within both organizations.
